One thing that completes every Filipinos when they're outside of the country is seeing Jollibee...or is it just me? Hahaha! Being out of the Philippines for more than a month I craved for mouth watering Filipino foods. Wala kasi masyadong ingredients sa Malaysia na sasakto sa timplang Pinoy. Hence, when I discovered that Singapore has Jollibee and it's one of our “to go to” destinations for the weekend, I made sure to catch that red orange big butt bubuyog.
And we did. After staying for almost 3 hours inside Changi airport to wait for a friend who will guide us through SG, we started our hunt for Jollibee.
Check out this video of my Singapore Experience:
From Airport we took a monorail going to their MRT station. Singapore is interconnected with trains which are their main mode of transportation. Our friend told us that the cars in SG are very expensive and complicated to maintain to encourage people to take trains. Walang biro, their railway system is a galaxy far better than ours in the PH. Kung sa atin ang train dumarating every 10-15 mins tapos di ka pa makakasakay, here in SG every 5 mins maluwang pa. They even have installed monitors to inform you how long you need to wait for the next train. Panis! For none airconditioned stations, they have installed huge fans enough to provide nice air and ventilation for everyone! Waaaaahhh!
Since we transferred train platforms to reach Orchard, I can't help but notice how Singaporeans strictly follow signs. They know where exactly to stand to get into the train properly or even give way to hasty people on escalators. They co-exist with the signage’s making everything organized.
When we reached Orchard, I suddenly felt something very odd. I felt like I'm in the Philippines. Sabi ko nga kay mama, it's like I'm in Glorietta. As we walk closer to Lucky Plaza mall I noticed a lot of remittance shops and most people who flocked there are speaking tagalog. When we get inside the mall wala na, nasa Pilipinas na talaga ko, except from the fact that prices are in SGD.
Lucky Plaza in Orchard is like a little Philippines of SG. Everything Filipino is there. From stores, salons, to Food! Yes indeed! Food! Jollibee is located at top most level of Lucky Plaza. They said its jam packed every weekend kasi it’s most Pinoy's day off. And it's true. Sobrang haba ng pila but it's worth the wait.

PS
The price is still in SGD (of course!) and oh the Spaghetti taste different, but it's still Filipino. According to a friend, Jollibee will soon have a branch in Changi Airport. Yey!!!
